Welcome to Chania! We’ll take a leisurely stroll along Chania’s picturesque waterfront, capturing the vibrancy and charm of this unforgettable Cretan gem. At
the start of the tour, we see the iconic lighthouse standing at the
harbor's edge - a landmark that dates back to the Venetian period in the 16th
century. It’s one of the oldest lighthouses in the world, and today, it’s one
of Chania's most beloved symbols.
If you’re up for it, you can take a walk
along the seawall to get a closer view of this beautiful structure. It’s an
amazing spot to watch the sunset, with the harbor and the old town painted in
warm, golden hues.
This
might not be a full city tour, but on the other hand, it's a chance to get a perfect
view of the waterfront, as we walk along it in real time.
You can notice the bustling line of cafés, tavernas, and boutique shops, each with its own personality and style. Many of these places have stories stretching back for generations, with local families who’ve been here for decades.
