We start our walk coming down on foot from Capri Town, walking along Via Cristoforo Colombo. As we look to the sea, we started from the right, and we will walk to the center and left, where most of the action is. Capri's Marina Grande is the main port of this enchanting Italian island, serving as the gateway to its many wonders. Imagine arriving at a bustling marina surrounded by the azure waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, with colorful fishing boats bobbing gently and sleek yachts glistening under the sun. The backdrop is a picturesque mix of pastel-hued houses climbing up the hillsides.

Immerse yourself in the experience with a carefully curated soundtrack that complements the stunning visuals, enhancing the overall ambiance of your virtual journey.

Numbers next to the waterfront designate where ferries arrive and depart.

This walking tour is divided into 8 concise and informative sections. If you're interested in a specific section, feel free to skip ahead using the chapters we've created. This way, you can easily jump right to the spot you can't wait to see! Keep an eye on the lower third of the screen, or the created chapters for the area names. That way, if you are visiting the area for a first time you can google the name of the area and find more information! Think of this video as your interactive map to Capri Town! We'll guide you through each area, but feel free to explore further on your own!

This video was shot with a DJI Osmo Pocket 3.

If you have any further questions or need more information, please let us know!

Leaving Via Truglio behind, we turn back to Via Cristoforo Colombo.

Here you will find many café, bars and restaurants. Some of the deli shops open early in the morning and you can buy a panini on the go! For those who don’t know what that is, a panini is a delicious Italian sandwich typically made with ciabatta or baguette bread, filled with various ingredients such as meats, cheeses, and vegetables. It's then pressed and (if you ask) grilled to perfection, resulting in a warm, crispy exterior and melty, flavorful interior.

We created this walking tour having you the viewer in mind.

As we walk in the area in real-time, this helps you see and understand how close or far away each point of interest is and this helps plan your trip better.

It’s hard to miss the oversized lemons on the tables! Yes, they are served as a drink! Imagine sipping on a refreshing, tangy beverage made from these vibrant, oversized lemons, renowned for their intense citrus flavor and aromatic zest. Whether enjoyed as a classic lemonade, a chilled limoncello, or a twist in a cocktail, this drink captures the essence of the Mediterranean sunshine!

This arch to the left is the entrance to the Funicolare. But you can’t buy tickets from here!

We’ll show you where you can do that, in less than a minute.

We have more videos about Campania region with practical info about what to visit in the areas, including Naples, Pompeii, Capri, Ischia, Procida, and more from the Amalfi Coast.

For your convenience, we have created a relevant playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxRHhKvfPjpXCEn8iSGpN35e5B0hyAL4R

We have used music from Uppbeat. You can check our personal referral link for more https://uppbeat.io/?referral=theocharis-rq932

As we walk past the taxi stop, we see the tickets booth. Here the front booths sell tickets for the buses and the Funicolare. The rear booth sell ticket for the ferries. There are different sails daily both for Naples and Amalfi Coast.

Exploring Capri on these charming small buses is an adventure in itself! These compact buses navigate the island's narrow, winding roads, offering breathtaking views of the azure sea and lush landscapes. Hop on one of these buses to travel between key spots like Marina Grande, Capri Town, and Anacapri. Hold on tight and enjoy the ride! Just have in mind that in the summer months, these are always really crowded!

Marina Grande in Capri boasts a delightful public beach perfect for soaking up the Mediterranean sun. This beach offers crystal-clear waters ideal for a refreshing swim, with stunning views of the marina and colorful boats adding to the picturesque scene. It's a fantastic spot to relax, enjoy the island's natural beauty, and perhaps indulge in some delicious local gelato from a nearby café! Many prefer this beach when they come for a daily trip to Capri Island.

If you are in Capri Town, instead of using the Funicolare, you can simply walk down to Marina Grande. It’s a path about one km long and should take you no more than 17 minutes to walk. The panoramic view is surely rewarding!

That’s the first thing you see when you get of from the ferry. Let’s recap your transportation options! Marina Grande is the arrival point for all the ferries and hydrofoils from the mainland, and it's the main port where both ferries and private boats dock.

From Marina Grande, visitors can take the funicular to reach the center of Capri town above, which takes just a few minutes to complete the trip. The trip only lasts 4 minutes, but there can often be long lines of passengers waiting to board at Marina Grande, as only 70 passengers can ride at one time.

Frequent fast hydrofoil services and slower ferries connect Capri with Sorrento and Naples. The travel time between Sorrento and Capri by hydrofoil takes about 20 minutes, while the fast ferry takes about 30 minutes.

In summer, the port of Marina Piccola in Sorrento offers connections to the entire Gulf of Naples, including direct hydrofoils to Positano, Amalfi, Ischia, and Procida, and Naples.

Tickets for the funicular and other transportation options can be purchased at the ticket office in Marina Grande but also in Capri town terminal, and in Anacapri.

Don’t be alarmed by the long queue! This usually happens when people disembark the

ferry! The taxis here are quite unique and charming – many of them are open-top, allowing you to enjoy the island's breathtaking views and fresh sea breeze as you travel. This time we could not help noticing a guy in white and a hat trying to help passengers, with a Bluetooth speaker playing music, hanging from his neck!

These taxis are not just a mode of transportation; they're part of the Capri experience.

Imagine riding in style, with the wind in your hair, as you traverse the island's winding roads. The taxi drivers are knowledgeable locals who can provide insights and tips about the best places to visit.

Taxis can also be hired for private tours, allowing you to explore the island at your own pace.

Here’s our suggestion!

If you want to enjoy the view, prefer the slow ferry!

You can just sit outdoors on the open deck, admire the view and take great pictures!

You can’t do that sitting inside the fast ferry!

We actually preferred to arrive on the fast ferry to save time and then depart on the slow one. Plus, the slower one is naturally cheaper!

As we sail away from Capri, the island's breathtaking beauty unfolds before us in even greater detail. The jagged cliffs rise dramatically from the azure waters, their limestone faces bathed in the golden hues of the setting sun. The lush greenery atop these cliffs creates a stunning contrast against the deep blue sea, painting a picture of serene splendor.

We can now fully appreciate the charm of Capri's coastline.

With each passing moment, Capri's silhouette grows smaller, but its impression on our hearts remains indelible. The island, with its rich history, natural wonders, and captivating charm, leaves us with memories that will linger long after we've sailed away.
