Picture this: The entire city is aglow with the warm embrace of Christmas lights. This year, the decorations might look a bit familiar, and hey, you're not wrong! Down at the lower part of Aristotelous Square, hugging the waterfront, lies the majestic main Christmas tree, standing proud at a whopping 17 meters! It's adorned with over 100,000 twinkling lights, creating a festive wonderland. And guess what? No tickets required – this is a free-to-enter area. It's perfect for families, and the pedestrian-friendly atmosphere makes it a safe haven for parents with their little ones. Don't forget to capture the moment with a selfie! Plus, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants around, including some familiar international fast-food joints.

Now, let's stroll from Mitropoleos Street, past Tsimiski Street, and head North until you hit Egnatia Street. Here you'll discover the enchanting world of traditional Christmas houses, a charming carousel to add some winter magic. This area is also free to visit, offering activities for both kids and adults. Children can enjoy the carousel and a small Luna Park, while the grown-ups can indulge in Christmas shopping, grab candies for the little ones, and savor a glass of the traditional Christmas wine. And hey, don't forget to pick up some festive decorations – it's the perfect market for it. This area will be open at least until January 5, from 10:00 in the morning until 11:30 at night.
