Coronavirus travel: Greece opens beaches & prepares for Summer 2020

On May 16 2020 public beaches opened for the summer season. Bathers with sun umbrellas can be seen at Neoi Epivates - Thessaloniki suburbs, after government suggests people keep a distance.

At the same time, empty beach bars prepare to open.

Closed outdoor bar restaurants with stacked chairs, tables & no access tape
look deserted while at the background bathers try to get a sun tan on sand by
the sea.

The country eases lockdown, hoping tourists will start visiting Hellas
by the middle of summer.
